The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, one of the nation’s top 10 rodeos, is back in town starting April 7, 2024. This event, held at Foster Communications Coliseum, 50 E. 43rd St., promises a thrilling experience for all attendees.
Rodeo Performances
The rodeo performances are scheduled as follows:
- Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m.
- Thursday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Slack Performances
Due to an overflow of contestants from the regular rodeo performances, slack will be held on April 2-3 and April 9. The barrel racers’ slack will be on April 1 at the Spur Arena, while slack for steer wrestling, tie-down roping, and team roping will be at Foster Communications Coliseum. These events are free to the public.
Tickets and Parking
Tickets can be purchased online at SanAngeloRodeo.com or in person at the Coliseum Box Office at 50 E. 43rd St. There is no extra fee for parking at Foster Communications Coliseum.
Rodeo Parade
The San Angelo Rodeo parade will be held on the first Saturday the rodeo begins, falling on April 6 this year. The parade features riding clubs, antique tractors, wagons, marching bands, and floats, and will start at 10 a.m. in downtown San Angelo.
Carnival
The carnival will kick off on April 5 and run through April 21, offering a variety of rides and food. The carnival hours are as follows:
- Wednesday-Friday: 5-11 p.m.
- Friday, April 19: 2-11 p.m.
- Saturday: noon-midnight
- Sunday: noon-10 p.m.
Admission to Fairgrounds
Admission to the fairgrounds is free with a rodeo ticket or carnival Super Pass. Daily admission prices are $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 2-11, and free for children under 2.
Carnival Costs
An all-you-can-ride Carnival Super Pass is available for $125, plus a $5 service fee, for the duration of the carnival. This includes free admission to the fairgrounds at no additional charge. There is also a one-day, unlimited ride armband for $35 during the weekdays, Wednesday-Friday, and $50 on Saturdays or Sundays. Individual ride tickets are available for $1, with each ride requiring two to five tickets.
Magic Money
Magic Money, a cashless system, can be used for the carnival, food, and other features. The Magic Money machines accept cash or card payments, and there is also an app that can be downloaded to add more money to the card.
