Fremont Street Experience Announces Lineup for NFR’s Kick Off Party, Downtown Hoedown

October 23, 2021 by Jeffrey James

Fremont Street Experience, the six-block entertainment district located in historic downtown Las Vegas, will officially kick off the 2021 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with its free Downtown Hoedown featuring country music stars Jordan Davis, Frontmen of Country and Diamond Rio on Wednesday, Dec. 1.

This celebration will transform the world-famous Fremont Street Experience into a honky-tonk paradise. Country fans can flock to Fremont Street’s various stages to catch all three performances. Chart-topping country music singer-songwriter Jordan Davis will kick off the celebration at 6:00 p.m. on the Main Street stage. Davis will be performing his countless hits including “Almost Maybes,” “Singles You Up,” and “Buy Dirt.” As iHeartRadio’s 2019 Best New Country Artist award winner, Davis will get the party underway with an unforgettable performance to celebrate the return of NFR to Las Vegas.

Following Davis’ set, fans can head down to the 1st Street stage at 7:40 p.m. to catch 90’s Country supergroup Frontmen of Country, comprised of Richie McDonald of Lonestar, Larry Stewart of Restless Heart and Tim Rushlow, formerly of Little Texas. Country music fans can sing along to nostalgic 90’s hits as this talented trio will perform classics from their respective groups including Restless Heart classics, “The Bluest Eyes in Texas,” and “I’ll Still Be Loving You,” Lonestar smashes such as “Amazed,” and “I’m Already There,” and Little Texas hits including “God Blessed Texas,” and “What Might Have Been.”

Beginning at 9:30 p.m. on the 3rd Street stage, GRAMMY-award winning group Diamond Rio will close out the night with a show-stopping performance of their hits “How Your Love Makes Me Feel,” “One More Day,” “Beautiful Mess,” and more. Formed in 1989 the band consists of Gene Johnson (mandolin, tenor vocals), Jimmy Olander (lead guitar, acoustic guitar, banjo), Brian Prout (drums), Marty Roe (lead vocal), Dan Truman (keyboards), and Dana Williams (bass guitar, baritone vocals).

There’s no better way to celebrate the return of NFR Las Vegas than Fremont Street Experience’s rockin’ Downtown Hoedown.
